  • 36!

yesterday was my birthday. i had a good day! ian and i did our standard ride to the farmer's market in the morning and we picked blake up on the way. blake spent the whole day with us, which was great. he gave me a pink timex watch for my birthday. *loves it*

it was afternoon by the time we got home from the market. i took a big siesta and ian kindly did as well. we rode to northside grill for an early dinner then got ice cream. picked up some coffee grounds from stir crazy. i was listing a little on the way home with 20 or so lbs of coffee grounds on the bike bus but the garden will be happy :)

today we've got to do all the chores that we procrastinated yesterday. and hopefully take ossian for a run in bryan park.

over the weekend ian and i (and ossian) went to the veggiefest. so fun! pics are on my flickr.

  • i'm very glad to have a day off today! so far i've been a total couch potato for a good couple of hours. it's time to get started on chores but i'll procrastinate for a few minutes by updating.

monday i got thrown back into work full force by being on call monday night. i like our computerized system, except when it doesn't work... i spent monday evening fielding calls from families that had gone to get their prescription and the pharmacy didn't have it. it was kind of amusing playing detective and guessing what the dr had intended to prescribe so that i could call it in :p

wednesday ian and i went to friendly's for a fundraiser event:

yesterday i worked a short day. though the couch was calling to me i listened to ossian's pleas and we went for a trail run before picking ian up from camp. snapped some quick pics of a heron by maymont:

ian and i are going to read the chronicles of narnia this summer. i read them many times as a kid. looking forward to reading them to him!

  • xterra weekend

xterra is going on now! blake said audrey was in 4th place in the sport race when she passed him on buttermilk. go audrey!

it's gorgeous outside. my plan for the day includes laundry, dishes, groceries, lawn mowing and hopefully a picnic in the park for ian, ossian and me. better get going soon.

  • end of vaca...

it's the end of my vaca week. sadness. it's been a stellar week though. ian and i have done lots of fun outdoors things. i'm well sore from way too much exercise for my sedentary body. my aim was for 2 hours of aerobic exercise for the week. i'm at 6 hours so far... no wonder i'm sore!
